After reading Fahila's blog, I feel like writing my encounters in year 2007 too.

At the beginning of the year, I was an office clerk in SPH in charge of magazine subscriptions. I enjoyed my job a lot, and I had many nice friends and colleagues there. Lynette, Jace, Susan, Joel, ChiuHsia, Auntie Eileen, Auntie Connie, RenHui, Joey, Grace, JunXian and Elijah. Speaking of Elijah, I saw him at Marina Square on Saturday, and he don't recognise me at all. Did I change a lot?

I received my O-level results somewhere around the beginning of February. I was very very happy with my results. I never expected that I would get an A2 for Humanities, which I got a C almost everytime (one time i got an F for Elective Geography for prelims), and also my worst subject of all. I thought my Humanities would be dead cos I was wondering if I could even pass. But yeap, it was a joy. Chemistry and Physics was a lil disappointing though. Anyway, it was a great meet up with my ex school mates. We had not meet up since the last day of the O-level exams, I think.

Chinese New Year was great. On day 3, Lynette invited us to her house for a 'party'. And yeaps, we had YuSheng, KFC, and many other stuffs. We played a special card game. I don't know what is it called, but we had lotsa fun then. It was an unforgettable day.

During March, I received news that I would be continuing my studies under Diploma in Accountancy in Singapore Polytechnic. The course was my first choice, and of cos I was happy about it. Actually, Diploma in Chemical Engineering should be my first choice, cos I love Maths and Chemistry sooooo much. But due to the mild colorblindness that I had, it will be a risk to take such a course. Pity. But accounting was fine too.

I quitted work at the beginning of April. I don't really wanna part with them actually. Aww.. they are such good people. It was Joey's last day of work there too. But for whatever reasons, Susan, Jace, Joel and Lynette can't celebrate with me cos Caroline (the boss of Customer Service) wants only staffs who are closer to them, to join the dinner. Too bad for me then. But thanks to Rey, DongHai, RenHui and her friend, they made sure that my last day of work will not be a lonely one. We went to Tiong Bahru for dinner. I remembered the prawns were MIGHTY HUGE! Thanks to RenHui for her treat too. The prawn noodles there were delicious. Then we went to Great World City for bowling. It was fun.

8th April 2007. The first day of orientation. I was kinda scared when I walked into the lecture hall. Then I saw my class, DAC07. CaiJing was the first to approach me, asking my name and number. The class facilitators were fun too. They are my PaPa (SUNNY TANG) and MaMa (MALCOLM KOH). Cos the few of us were very close, we formed the Milopeng Family. With Sunny as AhGong, Malcolm as AhMa, me as the father, CaiJing as the mother, while Hendri, David, RuiZhen and TingFang are our kids. Oh, I almost forgot. Regina is my granddaughter. Lmao.

I'm really glad to know them and have them as my friends. Oh, and also YeSheng as DaGe, Sheery as DaSao, and SeenYee as XiaoMei. What a big family.

As days passes by, we just got closer and closer. Fun and joy, or disappointment and despair, we went through all that together. It's just.. great.

We had our first class barbecue at East Coast Park during the mid term break, to celebrate Sheery and Nana's birthday. It was fun and exciting. Although it rained for awhile, that does not dampen our spirits and we were wild on that day.

My results for Sem1 was acceptable, but not satisfactory enough. Hopefully my PACC, ECONS, and STATS results for Sem2 will pull my GPA up.

Semester 1 ends so quickly. It seems like a day before when I stepped into this Poly, and then half a year is gone just like that. Went back to SPH to work again. Met new friends. Edlyn, ZhongRen, Adeline, Trey, and Keshia the zilian queen who took Wu Lian Pai with me. =P

Had our first chalet together at Costa Sands. One word for it - Memorable.

Sem2 started. It's more boring than Sem1. So much homeworks, and the projects are dull.

17th October 2007. I had an unforgettable day. The peeps celebrate my birthday in 'perfect' fashion. Birthday cards, balloons, wishes, presents, and of cos the presence of those peeps for my birthday. They made up my day.

I guess this pretty sums up my experience for 2007. It has been a fulfilling year with many new things happening around me.

Coming up next is my final year exams. Hopefully I can do well for it. I want my 3.5 GPA, and I meant it.
